The RAIN Meet is a gathering of researchers for rapid and informal communication of ongoing research activities in computational and applied mathematics in the northwest region.
The Cascade RAIN meetings were initially conceived as an event to informally get together the mathematical sciences faculty from Oregon State University and Portland State University. The first workshop was held in Corvallis in 2014 and was called Cascade. In order to disambiguate from other similarly named seminars, this conference series now has a new name: Cascade Regional Applied Interdisciplinary and Numerical (RAIN) Mathematics Meeting, or simply the RAIN Meet.
